THESPIAN QUIZ
TUESDAY 15 MAY AT 7.30PM
COCHRAN HALL, CASHMERE AVENUE SCHOOL
KAT are once again hosting the Annual Thespian Quiz, having won the trophy in 2006. The KAT team are: Kevin Boon, Jillian Carpenter, Joy Macleod and Margaret Walls.
The Hon Peter Dunne MP will be our esteemed Question Master, so come along and show your support.
Teams from Stagecraft, New Players, Wellington Repertory and Tawa Community Theatre will also be competing.
We hope to see you there.
LAST CLUB NIGHT - PACK OF LIES
Members enjoyed an excellent reading of Pack of Lies by Hugh Whitmore. Thank you to Bob Cater who directed the reading. A big thank you to all the cast (Peter Clemerson, Stathia Golding, Emma Barnett, Novena Bridge, John Golder, Brian Hudson, Clare Short and Ella Lucas) and to Susan Vella and Barry Meyers for all their hard work in contacting and persuading actors to take part in the reading. It is hoped that Pack of Lies can be performed at a later date.
ONE ACT PLAY READINGS
TUESDAY 19 JUNE
We have two directors lined up for the one act play readings – Kathi George and Jo Bean, both with interesting plays.
Another good play is looking for a director – if you are interested please contact Margaret Walls on 479 3654.
The Wellington Branch of the Speech Communication Association (NZ) In Te Roopu Koreo Whakapiripiri Tangata will be holding a Poetry in Performance.

The dates to remember for this year are as follows:
District: 2-4 August, Cochran Hall, Cashmere Avenue School
Regional: Northern 10-11 August, Auckland
Southern 17-18 August, Blenheim (provisional)
Central 24-25 August, Porirua Little Theatre, Wellington
National: 7-8 September, Dunedin
The adjudicator will be Nanette Wright
POETRY AND MUSIC FOR MIDWINTER – TUESDAY 17 JULY
Would you like to help choose poetry this year? Contact Margaret W at margaretwalls@xtra.co.nz. Contact her too if you want to be one of the readers. Do you play a musical instrument? Paul would love to hear from you so that he can organise the music for the programme.
There are lots of opportunities for you to be involved in your club’s activities. What would you like to do? Do bring a friend too if they are interested.
